Below is a brief description of our company's history:
- 1978: Metalloy Industries is founded in Brooklyn, New York
- 1980: Company moves down to Gainesville, Florida to seek new customers and expand product line.
- 1981-1986: Company expands distribution centers and product lines, and is now chief suppliers to United States Navy Submarine Program for salt-water resistant tubing.
- 1987-1994: Company growth has exceeded expectations and is forcing new distribution center to open around the world to meet demand.
- 1995: Company moves its headquarters from Gainesville to its present location in Alachua, Floriday, allowing it over 200,000 sq. feet of expansion.
- 1997: Computer division is founded with the idea of selling high-end computers and hardware to the government sector.
- 1998: Computer Division is awarded part of the annual $14 billion dollar general services administration contract to sell its products to the federal government.
- 1999: Compuer Division becomes one of the world's largest suppliers of NEC technologies LCD monitors to the federal government under its GSA contract.
- 2001: Computer Division is awarded over $4 Million in BPA's
- 2002: Computer Division is awarded part of the National Institute of Health ECS III Contract.
- 2004: Computer Division gets several large contracts for the state department.
- 2005: Computer Disvision is selected as a main supplier for the DEA field offices in South America.
